Something I thought you needed to hear:
Grieving is possible because before grief, there was love. And love made you believe it would last forever…that they would be with you forever. Love didn’t lie. It just also forgot to mention that nothing lasts forever. And there are endings to all beautiful things, and beautiful people. ‘Endings’ will always exist even more than beginnings. But, in spite of this, we should never be afraid to begin again. We should never be afraid to love again.
Grief is a complex thing. It is complex as it is personal. The process of grieving is different for everyone. How a person chooses to to process their grief is unique to them, their experiences, and current circumstances. We should never judge anyone for how they choose to grieve. If you know someone who is grieving, the best thing you can do is simply, be there for them. Be present with them, and never make anyone feel like they are all alone.
I pray for your healing, whoever and wherever you are. This too shall pass. Thank you for being here. Keep going. I’m rooting for you all the way.
Warmly, Grace.
